As you know, I’ve been sick.
I was flipping through the possible ‘romantic’ movies for something light to help put me to sleep.  Action seemed too rambunctious.
So….flipping through….yeah….yeah…Fatal Attraction.
Are they serious?
WHO would call that a romantic film?
That’s romantic like “Guardians of the Galaxy” is a documentary.
By the way….I hear the new Guardians movie is fantastic!
Notes: Everyone in the world should watch Fatal Attraction to lull them to sleep. Yikes. That would make for some weird dreams.

Yippee!

The beacons are lit!
Gondor calls for aid!
I LOVE the signal fires and the music that goes with them!
Notes: Still Lord of the Rings.

The day may come when we forsake all bonds of fellowship, but it is NOT this day!
Definitely one of my favorite speeches.
Notes: Often times I get an email and must immediately run to Google for context. Apparently we’ve been re-watching Lord of the Rings.

OMG!  I’m pretty sure Monopoly just added a T Rex, duck and penquin to its tokens!
I didn’t read the article, but that’s what the headline indicated.
The T Rex might look funny next to the race car…just sayin

So.,,,evidently, if I had a light saber, I could cut down dead trees with a single swipe.
Put that down for me for Mothers’ Day…that would be way cool.
Also, I need to get better soon or else hide the computer.
I just ordered all new cushions for the porch furniture from overstock.com.
Love,
Mom
Notes: I wasn’t able to find her a tree chopping down light saber. If anyone’s got any leads, let me know.

Just wanted to check in….
I’m still sick, but I’m taking the RX on schedule.
Ryan came today to replace the recycling pump on the water heater.  Guess what?  I need a new water heater.  Five points to anyone that saw THAT coming.  I think I’m on water heater #57.  Geesh.
He asked if I had to have the 60 gallon (special order), or would the 50 gallon work.
Since I’m the only one here, I’m going with the 50 gallon.  We’ll see what happens.  What’s the worst that can happen?  I’ve been taking luke warm/cold showers for 2 weeks now.  Hmmmm….could be why I’m not getting any better.
I did mow last night because the grass was shin high and rain is forecast for the next 3 days.
Bright spot for today:  Even though its cloudy and most likely going to rain…I stopped and got Wendy’s single and a chili.  While I was perusing their menu, what did I see?
Green Tea!  I got a large.  It tastes a LOT like the green tea at Panera and I can taste the sugar, but I’m worth it today.
I’ve been sick for 3 weeks, my house is still a disaster, I have no idea how they are not only going to remove a 60 gallon water heater from basement but also take a new one down while trying to dodge all the Christmas deco that is still in disarray…..so I get a big green tea with an untold amount of sugar.
I need ‘The Flash’ to come and put the Christmas deco away.
Notes: Green Tea – Because you’re worth it.

Oh. My. Gosh.
I just watched Rogue One and I’m watching the bonus features.
While they’re talking about the characters….I realized something.
Disney made their usual stamp on Rogue One.
Guess who dies in the first 5 minutes of the film?
Jyn’s MOTHER!
I would REALLY love to know what Walt Disney had against mothers.
Geesh.
Unless….
If the mom’s were around, perhaps chaos would NOT ensue?????
Its a theory.
But I would really love to know the reason.
Love
YOUR MOTHER!!!

Monday Greetings!

As you know, I went to see Beauty and Beast on Saturday and it was fabulous.  I loved it and there was only one flaw that I could see:
WHY did they put him in a baby blue tux for the final dance?
I watched the Disney animation version last night – he was in a royal blue tux – much more regal.
I actually winced when I saw him in the movie.  This could take away their best costume Oscar.
Plus….I was the driver, so before I picked up Melody, I put all the crap from the front seat and threw it in the back – my seats have been folded down since I don’t know when.
When I got to Melody’s, she said Jo was going with us, so I had to put the back seats up and then throw everything to the way back.
Bottom Line…it was really nice today to get in a car with no crap in the seats OR the back seats.
The back of the car is a total train wreck – it proved dicey when I went to the store, but I can clean that out later.  After I do the laundry.  After I address the upstairs.  However, I will HAVE to do it before I take all the clothes in the dining room to  The Clothing Center.
We’re on a roll!!!!
Notes: I’ll admit, I wasn’t a huge fan of the light blue tux either. Also, was it me, or did that guy not really look like Matthew Crawley?

As you know, I get very involved with the characters in movies.

I watched “Force Awakens” yesterday.  I finally figured out how to buy “Rogue One” on Amazon and just finished watching that one.
There is definitely a Hitler-esque quality about these fights.
In Force Awakens, the scene with all the storm troopers assembled and then responding to the speech – wow.
In Rogue One, the assault on the beach and mention of ‘retaking’ the beach – definite connection to the assault on Normandy.
We had the real deal in WW2.
Now there is this movie that shows the true destruction capabilities of weapons for those that forgot what happened at the end of WW2.
If all world leaders were required to watch these 2 films, do you think they could understand that wiping out civilization isn’t the answer?  There is no way to contain the destruction.
Or, revive ‘War Games’ – same concept..
Something so simple might save so many.
If only.
Also, its awesome to see the power of so many women in key roles – Jyn, Rey, Leia, Amadala…..wow.  That hasn’t caught on, either, in the grand scheme of things…..more’s the pity.  Women have much to offer and we are often taken for granted or not utilized at all.
Light thoughts for a Sunday afternoon,
Love,
Mom
