Creating a Blue Apron meal with wine adds several dimensions:
- My spelling might be off (I’ve had 2 glasses)
- Adds the brain boost option:
- What step am I on?
- Where the heck is the parsley used?
- Can I do these steps simultaneously? Or will that ruin everything?
- Can my salt/pepper grinders just give up the ship? OR….are they out of the very product that you are grinding? Hummmmmm
- Did it take way too long for me to figure out there was NO salt in the grinder?
- Rationalization is easy – if you do things in the wrong steps….will you ever really taste the difference? The wine says ‘no’.
- You might be adding time to meal prep due to re-reading and organizing ingredients
- Then again…who cares? I”m on my second glass of wine
- Bonus points if you can do jazz hands while handling the large knife and not cutting yourself. I managed!!!!!
- oh…Jazz hands were required for the One Republic, Snow Patrol , Cold Play and Train playing on my TV under that app that I simply cannot remember —-OH! Pandora. Probably should have mentioned that first.
Aftermath:
- Dinner outside on the deck is just magical
- Damn….forgot the cilantro topping. Again. Realized that when I returned to the scene of the crime/sorry – Kitchen. More chopping time that I’ll never get back.
- The parsley NEVER figured in…another ingredient missed in a previous Blue Apron meal. C’est la vie….
- Who knew that coconut milk would work with bok choy and vegetables?
- It was delicious…or that could be the wine talking?
- My mom died thinking I couldn’t cook – HEY! I can read with the best of them! I am now a master chef!
I”m not sure why the fonts are switching. Not sure it matters.
I’m supposed to put the queen headboard together tonight according to my ‘to-do’ list. I should have thought of that BEFORE 2 glasses of wine. I’m not sure I should handle any more sharp objects at this particular juncture. Fortunately, I potted the mint plants before attempting dinner. Am I EVER going to be done planting?
