What was the best thing BEFORE sliced bread? ………………………………..
Notes: I’m going to note this as my VERY favorite email I have ever received from my MIL. I was inspired by this and have googled for all of us when sliced bread did in fact come to fruition: Otto Frederick Rohwedder of Davenport, Iowa, United States, invented the first loaf-at-a-time bread-slicing machine. A prototype he built in 1912 was destroyed in a fire and it was not until 1928 that Rohwedder had a fully working machine ready. Fascinating. The Wright Brothers flew in 1903. I’m going to say that was pretty great and BEFORE sliced bread. Final answer.
