So, after mowing and collecting piles of sticks, I fixed the Blue Apron Cod sandwiches and ate them both – it was my first meal of the day at 5pm and cod doesn’t re-heat well.

For everyone that yucked it up when K found the chick peas on the counter 6 inches from the stove top when I searched high and low for the tiny container on my last Blue Apron meal, I have 2 comments:
1.  I was drinking wine at the time (2 whole glasses) which is approximately  1.5 glasses over my limit, and
2.  I confused them with capers….capers come is a SMALL container, not an entire can like the chick peas.  I had capers tonight which proved my point – they came in one of those tiny containers.
Its an honest mistake given that I had not cooked with EITHER of them EVER before Blue Apron.  So, I deserve a break on that bonehead move.
While I was cooking, I turned on the 2 Star Trek Movie.  I figured out why I like to watch it:
  • I like the comraderie of the characters and their witty comments
  • Chris Pine is easy on the eyes!!!
So after all that….I collected my piles of sticks, delivered them to the burn pile, edged the driveway and sidewalk, dug up the dirt around the Spruce tree that Lillie has dug holes in and put up the landscaping blocks around half of it.  After the heavy lifting, I was pretty much shot.
The Cubs lost again….swinging at crappy pitches.
Somewhere in there today, I watched a bit of the English Premiere soccer match between Manchester United and Bolivia.  I can see why Europe has never caught on with our obsession with Football and Baseball….soccer has 100% action – shirt pulling, pants pulling, kicking, screaming – rare stoppage of play.  Just an observation after watching them side by side.
Enough wisdom for one day.
Love,
Mom
Notes: She’s right. Chris Pine is, in fact, easy on the eyes.
