Well…I did it again.
This morning, Family Medical called at 9:15 to remind me about my apt on Wednesday.
I was sound asleep at the time, so when I picked up the handset, I struck myself in the left eye. It hurt at the time, but I didn’t think much more about it.
Until….I’m working at my computer at the office and I started noticing flashes on the left side of my left eye. Due to prior injuries from the ear mite meds, the umbrella point and the sticks, I emailed and then called my eye doctor immediately. They said to come right away.
When the doctor came in the room, I immediately said “my kids tell me I’m a great Mom, and just this morning, I got an email stating I was a great friend and great sister-in-law; so you see, I do have SOME good qualities.”
He had to dilate my left eye, so vision is still rather screwy.
Good news – did not detach my retina – just messed with the vitreous fluid.
For the future, I asked if repetitive injury (like I’ve certainly had) could cause a detachment in itself -NO. Good news.
Also, I asked “if my retina detaches, is it something I have to find on the counter and bring in?” NO – also great news.
So, I can’t bob my head for the rest of the day, but I’m fine.
When they asked about a headache, I told them one was starting, but it could be because its 2pm and I haven’t had lunch. I was looking forward to the bison burger and salad I made last night that was in my lunch basket.
So…I went straight to the kitchen. I have the salad, the Chinese noodles, the pickles, and the bread – NO BURGER! Its obviously at home on the kitchen counter, Well that’s just great.
Yes, its Monday.
My last episode of stick in my eye was August, so I did wait 2 months,
Love,
